Drum Monkeys' Carl Loben owns respected label Westway Records in partnership with Dub Pistols' Barry Ashworth. It was nominated for 'Best Label' in Breakspoll's prestigious 'International Breakbeat Awards 2010' and is responsible for releases such as the acclaimed ‘Westway To The World’ album, mixed by Carl.
His sets are described as "a sublime mix of noisenik electro, fidget house, bad-ass breakbeat and booty bass" by DJ Mag and recent DJ dates have seen him rocking dancefloors in some of the world’s top clubs such as Fabric in London, Space in Ibiza, Babyface in Shanghai and Sirena in Brazil. Carl has an ongoing Drum Monkeys monthly residency at Digital Brighton.
